Sow Farm Supervisor - Hooker, OK

Duties: Supervise 2,200 head sow farm and related personnel, including day-to-day tasks of the farm, ensuring production targets are met, overseeing farm employees, and monitoring and assisting with sows in the farrowing house for pig throughput. Ensure the care and conditioning of sows on the farm. Direct the breeding and raising of swine using recognized breeding practices. Supervise swine examinations to identify diseases. Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition. Meet daily and weekly production targets. Collect and record production data. Complete and submit production analysis reports in a timely manner. Submit orders for farm supplies and maintenance needs. Monitor breeding and grading to ensure adherence to safety regulations or standards. Create and manage employee work schedules. Maintain accurate personnel paperwork, including performance evaluations, and provide constructive and timely feedback to employees. Daily supervision of 5 to 6 employees.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science or Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, or related field, and two years of related swine experience. Experience must include at least two years of management duties in a swine farm of at least 1,500 head, and experience following detailed standard operating procedures, have demonstrated satisfactory performance in controlling budgets, and optimizing expenses. Must have experience scheduling for employees and animal arrivals and departures. Must have experience managing 7 or more animal caretakers for sow farms. Must have basic experience with Microsoft Office suite. Must have good communication skills in English.
