Shop Apprentice - Miami, FL

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures, a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components, is currently seeking a Machinist Apprentice to join our growing team. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in aerospace manufacturing and precision machining.

The Machinist Apprentice will support daily machining operations under the supervision of senior machinists and shop leads. Responsibilities include assisting in the setup and operation of machines, preparing materials, inspecting parts for accuracy, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

You will learn to read and interpret blueprints, follow technical work instructions, and use measuring tools. Over time, you will develop the skills needed to work independently and contribute to the repair and fabrication of high-precision aerospace parts used in commercial and military aircraft.

Skills / Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in precision machining
• Basic knowledge of the use of micrometers, calipers, lathes, mill machines and precision tools and equipment
• Ability to read or willingness to learn to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
• Commitment to safety and quality in a regulated environment
