TITLE: QA Lab Tech SHIFT: G - Shift; 5:45PM-6:00AM
- Only work 3 (36 hours) to 4 (48 Hours) days per week!
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Responsible for performing various departmental tasks associated with assuring product quality.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform tasks associated with the operation of an onsite analytical laboratory and positive release
program, including; finished product testing, chemical testing, raw material testing, sample preparation. Performing laboratory tests may or may not include: petri film, agar plates, and Celsis rapid microbial detection, UV Vis, Autotitrator, FTIR, TOC analysis, and pH testing - Setup laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and maintain calibrations.
- Track, control, and disposition of non-conforming raw material, in-process, and finished product.
- May maintain a positive release program and perform internal audits.
- Assist QA management in projects as needed, including; mock recalls, 1st run products, HACCP team,
- QA training for associates, and updating facility QA procedures
- Participate in regulatory, customer, and third party audits and/or visits
- Assist with non-conformance investigations, customer complaints, retained product/lotions
- Analyze process data.
- Provides accurate and timely feedback to management on all results and quality issues.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement projects and cost savings initiatives.
- Involvement in process control and capability studies.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)
- High School Diploma/GED required plus 3 years experience in quality, lab setting or wet wipes
manufacturing or equivalent combination of experience and education. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. - Previous laboratory experience and/or auditing experience in a cosmetic or food-based environment
desirable. - Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge in JD
Edwards/ERP and Microsoft Access desired - Good problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Self-starter. Able to work well alone and in team environment
- Must be available to work a flex schedule. This includes being available to work on all shifts.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, writing skills, and math skills. Understanding SPC desired
- Understand both English and Metric units of measurement
- Excellent organization skills, able to juggle several projects at once
- Must have proven abilities in understanding Quality Assurance and cleaning and sanitizing processes

Experience
