We are currently seeking a Acquisition Specialist/Management Analyst, Junior to support PMA-261 at the Patuxent River, MD Program Office. The candidate will support the Acquisition Team.

Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules. Performs management, technical, or business case analyses. Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs. Tracks program/project status and schedules. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. A Junior level person is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to:



  • Supports the preparation of documentation such as Acquisition Plans (AP), Statement of Work (SOW), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), funding documents, contract awards, and Basic Ordering Agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation, and execution of Procurement Planning Conferences (PPCs), Procurement Planning Agreements (PPAs), and Procurement Initiation Documents (PIDs) and other acquisition documentation.
  • Prepare and provide input on briefs,, correspondence, and meetings,
  • Working knowledge and experience with PMT
  • Assist with the development and assembly of acquisition/contractual strategies
  • Advise PMA/IPTs on Acquisition Regulations, Thresholds
  • Provide support to IPTs in PID generation to include support in drafting SOWs, SOOs, and PWS
  • Establish new PID numbers, and ensure required PID information/documents are uploaded and kept current in PMT
  • Coordinate Acquisition Strategy Briefs and ensure routing and approval
  • Assist IPTs with maintaining PID information in the PMT tool that is current, accurate, and complete.


Required Experience: Junior - 1 to 3 years of acquisition experience performing duties described in the functional description and duties and responsibilities section.

Desired Experience: 2 years of Acquisition experience supporting NAVAIR programs.

Required Education: Junior - BA/BS degree.

Allowable Substitutions: The following substitutions are permitted for this task order:



  • Associate's Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • OR
  • Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $74985.65 to $112478.47 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
