Responsive recruiter The Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Psychiatrist focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illnesses and emotional disorders. They evaluate patients' mental and physical well-being, create personalized treatment plans, and prescribe medication as needed. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patients' needs and promoting improved mental health outcomes. Salary is based on experience and qualifications. Required Skills/Abilities: License/Certification: Medical degree (MD or DO) board certified in psychiatry Exhibit good judgement, honesty, integrity, responsibility, time management, and punctuality. Ability to analyze issues and suggest or determine solutions in a fast-paced, changing environment Proficient in utilizing computers, typing, and navigating multiple applications/systems simultaneously such as Microsoft Office products, EHR systems, etc. Maintains strict confidentiality handling client information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and Ellie policies Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture Responsibilities include: Diagnose and treat mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders Conduct complete history and physical assessments and follow up appointments. Conduct medical evaluations to assess patient suitability for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes. Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring their effectiveness and potential side effects. Oversee ketamine administration and monitor patient safety during KAP treatment sessions. Participate in co-facilitation and consultation with KAP therapists throughout the four-phase model of KAP (assessment, preparation, treatment, integration). Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Stay updated on advancements in psychiatric treatments and research.
