General Position Overview

Responsible to verify and maintain records on incoming material. Unload deliveries, break down and sort shipments, identify and label material. Put away material in an orderly fashion. Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse. Troubleshoot discrepancies with purchase order, receiving, and inventory issues. Cycle counting and support to inventory management. Support all warehouse activities as required. A positive, team attitude will be essential.

Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Positively interacts with all SoundOff Signal coworkers.
  • May guide, coach, and direct other warehouse team members in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
  • Safely use powered and manual material handling equipment, including startup safety checks.
  • Basic Warehouse Organization including:
  • 5S Process and Checklist
  • Product Facing
  • Shelf Organization
  • First In First Out (FIFO) Inventory
  • Load and unload materials by hand or forklift.
  • Check in deliveries by verifying the item and quantity against vendor packing list and/or label.
  • Ensure inventory parts are marked with the correct part number and revision
  • Transact material receipt (inventory and non-inventory) into Syteline or Deposco as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records of internal deliveries such as, samples, supplies, and the like.
  • Perform accurate physical counts of inventory items.
  • Identify and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, working with inventory, purchasing, and others to resolve.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area.
  • Accurately manage Kan Ban tickets with Purchasing and Inventory.
  • Maintain archive warehouse.
  • Support and assist warehouse team members, including any Warehouse Stock Clerk tasks, or other SoundOff Signal departments, with various tasks as necessary.
  • Able to read and follow SoundOff Signal Work Instructions.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School graduate. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license with clean motor vehicle record (including 7 year lookback).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to obtain Lift Truck Operator Certification.
  • Chauffer's license preferred
  • Box truck driving experience preferred
  • Demonstrates leadership by example in all they do.
  • Work quickly with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent with details, data accuracy.
  • Prioritize and organize multiple competing tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Operate all department equipment including Industrial Trucks and Road Vehicles.
  • Data inputting skills.
  • Enterprise System Software experience preferred, Made-2-Manage Software beneficial.
  • Warehouse Management System experience preferred, Deposco Software beneficial

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and/or reach throughout an entire shift.

  • Light manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting

Schedule Requirements

  • Required to work shift hours with occasional overtime
  • Shift hours: Monday-Thursday, 12:00-9:00pm + Friday 12:00-4:00pm
