Overview:

Sentara Careplex has an opening for a full time Community Health Educator located in Hampton, VA! This is hybrid position - some onsite and some remote work.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position focuses on Community Outreach, specifically cancer education, screening, and prevention for the Hampton Roads Community. The Community Health Educator facilitates support groups and engages Physicians and Community Leaders to plan large scale screening events and other outreach activities. The ideal candidate would have a background in Oncology, Community Outreach, or Population Health. Strong preference for clinical backgrounds such as RN, LPN, or CMA.

Other Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and present educational programs; maintain a library of current education resources and materials
• Coordinate educational opportunities
• Provide guidance on available resources

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree

Experience

• 2 years related experience with a background in Oncology, Community Outreach, or Population Health.
• Strong preference for clinical backgrounds such as RN, LPN, or CMA.

Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
