JOB SUMMARY Works under moderate supervision to provide responsible administrative and supervisory enforcement skills in law enforcement services of UT Southwestern. BENEFITS
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
At the time the promotional process is undertaken, applicant must have accrued a minimum of 90 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education. and
5 years UTSP experience or 3 years UTSP service and two years' in another full service law enforcement agency as a full time commissioned peace officer.
Possess an Intermediate Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Upon Hire and Must hold Peace Officer Commission, University of Texas System. Upon Hire and Must successfully complete minimum six (6) month probationary review immediately following date of promotion. Upon Hire and (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Must possess a valid Texas driver's license not subject to suspension and must be eligible to drive a University of Texas owned or leased vehicle. Upon Hire and Must successfully pass an approved promotional process administered by the Director of Police, or designee. and At the time the promotional examination is taken, applicant must be currently serving as a UTSP sergeant who has completed probation (following promotion) successfully
Bachelor's Degree
6 years experience as a commissioned police officer, which includes at least three years of experience as a University of Texas Police Officer and no less than two years' experience in the next lower rank.
Possess Advanced and Instructor Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education at the time the promotional examination is taken JOB DUTIES
