This role is a hybrid position

Some roles require an office while others may be done remotely. This position is considered hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Boston office.

The Core FP&A team are the consolidators and storytellers of Sonos financials, partnering with teams throughout the organization to deliver actionable insights and analysis to our most senior leaders. We lead the FP&A organization in planning, forecasting and reporting by designing the processes and tools to facilitate these activities and are continuously looking for ways to improve the same. This role will report to the Director, Core FP&A.

What You'll Do

The Core FP&A team is looking for a high performer who can be the linchpin of our monthly and quarterly deliverables, and lead strategic projects for the team. We are looking for someone to join our team who is highly motivated, curious and excited about reporting, data and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working for a company that lives its brand and delivers on its promise to create the ultimate home music experience Additionally, this person will:

  • Own the delivery of consolidated financial reporting and storytelling for executive audiences, including actuals and forecast analysis.

  • Lead the cash flow and balance sheet forecasting processes using both direct and indirect methods, enhancing forecast logic and accuracy.

  • Provide financial insights to support Investor Relations, Treasury, SEC Reporting, and the preparation of Sonos' external financial filings.

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams including Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations to ensure accuracy and insight in reporting.

  • Deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making and promote trust with stakeholders.

  • Maintain various company-wide P&L views and contribute to quarterly competitive benchmarking analysis.

What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, or consulting.

  • Experience with balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of an organization.

  • Strong analytical thinking and a commitment to process improvement and data accuracy.

  • Ability to work from the Sonos Boston office 2-3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial planning or accounting within a consumer-facing goods business (e.g., consumer electronics, direct-to-consumer, retail).

  • Familiarity with Anaplan, SAP S/4HANA, Analytics for Office (AO), Tableau, or SQL.

  • Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and process automation.

The base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:

$108,000 and $135,100

The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate's geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range. Your recruiter can provide more details about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
