Shift Supervisor, 2nd Shift

As a Shift Supervisor, 2nd Shift, you will oversee the operators and equipment quality and production. You will complete face-to-face hand-off with your counterpart between all shifts and lead the Daily Tier I Group Meeting. You will ensure personnel are adhering to PPE requirements, as well as enforce all plant and department procedures.

This is a 2nd shift position, 3PM to 11PM schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance against operational goals related to Safety, Bag Rates, and Delivery.
• Communicate Shift Report at the end of your shift.
• Issue counseling within established guidelines for Operators who fail to follow procedures or who repeatedly fail to adequately perform job responsibilities.
• Monitor log sheets (PM's, housekeeping, daily task, etc.) for accuracy / completeness
• Enter Work Requests (WR's) into SAP and coordinate planned order changes
• Manage Maintenance Outages by attending outage planning meeting, communicating a plan (to lines and maintenance personnel), getting equipment locked out, along with completing and issuing Permits.
• Monitor operational LOTO for accuracy
• Silica testing on the back shift.
• Obtain operating supplies from the store room, WESCO, supply chain coordinator as needed.
• Perform Departmental EH&S Housekeeping audits as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• 5+ years of operational experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Ability to understand how process equipment works and its role in the process line to troubleshoot issues.
• Proficient in conducting quality tests on sample product to determine if it meets customer requirements
• Capability to multitask and plan ahead
