Reporting to the Senior Business Process and Operational Controls Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Commercial Operations team working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks, improve operational processes, and to maintain and improve the customer experience. Additionally, assist with select transactional activities and drive consistency and efficiency through enabling technologies and process standardization where practical. You will partner with our INDG sales, commercial operations, and policy teams, along with BLP central SAP and billing teams to identify and manage risks in a thoughtful, balanced manner, ensuring risk drivers are clearly understood, communicated, and managed.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a first line risk, control, and process owner within Commercial Operations

  • Supporting Assessment of Risk Appetite for Commercial Operations

  • Design and assess effectiveness, including adequacy and appropriateness, of controls to mitigate identified risks

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize control risks and issues associated with commercial operations processes

  • Identify or support creation of remediation efforts for identified issues. Own prioritization, monitoring, and reporting of issues and related remediation plans

  • Help to establish overarching vision, strategy, and implementation plans for business process improvements in response to audit findings and identified control risks or issues

  • Maintain current knowledge of INDG products, and INDG policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with sales and finance teams to optimize commercial policies according to company goals and objectives while addressing control risks.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with those across the broader risk management team including product, risk management, legal and compliance and internal audit

  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

You Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an appropriate combination of accounting, finance or other related fields.

  • 0-2 years of people management experience

  • Proven ability to identify risks and develop strategies for reducing risks.

  • Experience in process mapping and control gap identification.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to act decisively and independently to resolve sophisticated issues

  • Ability to simplify difficult concepts and challenges

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and efficiency of operating across a multitude of levels
