We are in search of an Identity Management Support Specialist I or Identity Management Support Specialist II to join our Infrastructure and Operations department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the Director, Service Desk and is responsible for implementing and enhancing the process around user identities, security access requests, and application access for employees, vendors, and contractors under the guidance of the Director, Service Desk. The role involves initiating the security access request processes, maintaining identity documentation, working with system owners, detailing access procedures for new applications, and providing support to the Service Desk. The specialist will also follow security, audit, and compliance requirements, and contribute to efficient provisioning methods.

After an initial in-office training period, this position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one-time home office stipend.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level I:
Typical starting range: $43,100 - $57,400
Full base salary range: $43,100 - $64,600
Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.

Level II:
Typical starting range: $47,200 - $62,900
Full base salary range: $47,200 - $79,000
Annual performance-based incentive target is 6% of base.

Job Requirements

  • Initiate, submit, and review security access requests, ensuring appropriate access levels are granted based on job roles and responsibilities.
  • Support monitoring the security access request queue for timeliness and completion, addressing any backlog with fulfillers.
  • Aid in creating, updating, or maintaining needed identity management documentation for systems.
  • Lead resolution of escalated and high priority system access incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined Service Level Agreements with assigned workflows. This includes facilitating service delivery via managed service providers.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and system owners to gather needed access requirements.
  • Develop and document processes and responsibilities for role maintenance.
  • Provides suggestions and develops new processes for continual improvement.
  • Provide training and support to users on identity management systems and best practices.
  • Ensure ITSM system maintains accurate records of access requests, approvals, and changes to access controls.
  • Identify and formulate reusable solutions to new, unique issues and cascades information to the impacted departments within assigned workflows.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Generally, requires at least three years of related and progressively more complex experience with identity and access management systems and tools.
  • Ability to work independently given general direction of objectives and expected outcomes.
  • Ability to perform regular access reviews based on job roles or job requirements.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building to effectively work on a team.
  • Detailed orientated.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to continually learn new skills.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience using or supporting business software applications (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Office365, Microsoft Teams) and support ticketing systems.
  • No certifications required, Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP) preferred.
  • Familiarity with the advanced principles of ITIL 4.0.
