Job Description Vertex is seeking a talented leader to join our US Kidney Business Unitto support our aspirations of bringing inaxaplin, a Phase 3 investigational therapy for APOL1-Mediated Kidney Disease (AMKD), to patients. AMKD is a rapidly progressive form of proteinuric kidney disease that is genetically caused and occurs in people of African ancestry. TheSeniorDirector, Head of Marketing, US Kidney - AMKDleads the AMKD marketing team for the US Kidney Business Unit. The US Kidney Business Unit is preparing for potential commercialization of inaxaplin and also povetacicept an investigational therapeutic being studied for the treatment of Immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN) and other B cell-mediated diseases (this role will focus on inaxaplin and AMKD alone). This role will recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing marketing team, develop the launch strategy, and ensure execution of launch prep activities. Functional marketing oversight spans across HCP, Patient, Unbranded, and Thought Leader Marketing. We are seeking a candidate that has a strong track record in US commercial roles in market development, demonstrated success in coaching teammates, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.This role reports to the Vice President of the US Kidney Business Unit and is a key member of the BU leadership team. Pay Range: $225,600 - $338,400Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting.
