About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead their team of sales professionals selling software, research and SaaS solutions in a virtual sales environment to potential and existing tax and accounting professionals. The Regional Sales Manager will direct their team to achieve successful attainment of their new sales and renewal goals by focusing on drive new business and growth of existing accounts within the Tax & Accounting Professional channel.

  • Maximize total new sales growth and renewals by promoting industry-leading products

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to deliver sales quotas and drive key product sales

  • Direct sales professionals on pipeline management, forecasting, and performance monitoring

  • Collaborate with Marketing and other departments to align campaigns and promotions with sales objectives

  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure alignment with sales objectives and talent development

  • Monitor performance and provide guidance to ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service

  • Identify and respond to issues that affect teamwork and goal attainment, and provide innovative solutions

  • Maintain a working knowledge of company products and adhere to ethical standards while servicing customers and meeting department goals

  • Demonstrates a commitment to people by creating an attractive work environment, retaining and developing top talent, recognizing contributions, embracing change and diversity, modeling behavioral change, and taking ownership and accountability for outcomes.

  • Prioritizes the customer by displaying a deep understanding of their needs, providing value-add solutions, driving change and innovation, and executing on goals and initiatives with flexibility to make adjustments as needed to deliver results and meet objectives.

  • Fosters collaboration by building constructive relationships with key business partners across the organization, including channel teammates, Segment, NPD, HR, and Finance, to drive business growth and success.

About You

  • Education and Certification: B.S. in business or related area, MBA or CPA License preferred, with 5+ years of experience in Business-to-Business sales.

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record of successful sales performance in a Business-to-Business marketplace, with sales management experience preferably in the tax and accounting market.

  • Sales Skills: Experience with coaching sales process, product training, and professional development, with telemarketing or consultative sales experience strongly preferred.

  • Personal Qualities: Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation, exceptional oral communication and relationship-building skills, and excellent organizational skills.

  • Technical and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with a professional client base, adapt to change, and demonstrate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology aptitude for internal systems.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $199,500 - $370,500.
This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
