Job Title: SMART CE Internship Program Coordinator

Department Name: Civil Engineering

Salary Range: $25-32/hour

Work Schedule: This is part-time, non-exempt positon; Monday - Friday, up to 10 hours per week. This position is eligible for benefits.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of Dr. Gustavo Menezes, the incumbent is responsible for

Coordinating the grant entitle "SMART CE Intersnship Program" The Coordinator will oversee the administrative operations of the student program, including working with UAS, scheduling and reserving rooms to ensure adequate space for activities and events. Responsibilities include hiring paperwork, as well as tracking Instructional Assistant hours to ensure accurate payroll and compliance with institutional guidelines. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist with ordering, procurement, and maintaining inventories of program-related supplies and equipment, ensuring timely acquisition and proper management of resources to support program effectiveness.

Requirements: (The requirement will be questions the applicant must reply (Yes), or the application will be rejected)

  • Community college or high school graduate
  • Effective communicator to work in a multicultural and multiethnic environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Desired Qualifications:

  • Organizational abilities in operations and individual files.
  • Maintain online calendars of all activities including meetings, workshops, field trips, and graduation ceremony
  • Good communication skills
  • Good time management skills

The incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the UAS. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current UAS employees who apply for the position.
