Marvell utilizes a range of test equipment hardware platforms to develop and test the various Enterprise, Data Center and Hyperscale product lines. The Test Operations Support Group is tasked with the install and maintaining of these test platforms as well as other support equipment. The team also provides technical support to our test, product and production teams.

What You Can Expect

  • Hiring, training, and managing a team of test equipment engineers and technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources.
  • Oversee new test equipment projects (tester, prober, handlers) and work with equipment engineers and facility teams to ensure they meet the schedule, requirements, and performance.
  • Work the team of equipment engineers, test floor support technicians and outside test and equipment support teams to ensure the team is providing 24/7 support and maintaining the required uptime.
  • Establish equipment and operational procedures and monitor compliance.
  • Managing the lifecycle of test equipment, including purchasing, inventory, maintenance, repair, and disposal.
  • Monitor the team to ensure that test equipment is calibrated and maintained according to industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintaining documentation of test equipment procedures, results, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensuring that test equipment is compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Track tools utilization and uptime and drive actions when tools drop below targets.
  • Monitoring and managing the costs associated with test equipment.
  • Working with internal customers (e.g., test & product engineering) to formulate test strategies, selecting appropriate equipment, and developing test procedures and ensure successful implementation of test equipment.
  • Work closely with Marvell's equipment vendors as well as other sources to identify the support requirements for Marvell's next generation product lines to ensure that solutions are in place or in development to meet Marvell future needs.
  • Collaborate with Marvell's purchasing department, SNH Test floor management and various equipment suppliers on quotes for new equipment and service contracts at both USA test facility and SNH Singapore test facility.
  • Manage hardware inventory control team, provide guidance and support for the onsite repair technician.
  • Ensure that required license pools for Marvell's tester fleet are up to date and maintained.
  • Work closely with Marvell's SNH test facility in Singapore to ensure that Marvell's tester, prober and handler fleet are properly maintained and in sync at both test facilities.
  • Work with management team to plan, layout and execute test floor equipment strategies.
  • Generate periodic management updates on operations metrics.
  • Focus on continuous improvement by analyzing test equipment data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and improve test equipment processes.

What We're Looking For

  • BSEE/ME with minimum 8+ years of experience in test operations equipment support.
  • Fundamental knowledge in ATEs, peripheral tools and their operational and technical aspects (UltraFLEX, Advantest 93K testers, Tri-temp Probers and auto-Handlers)
  • Strong communication with team members, peer groups and internal customers on operational performance and support requirements.
  • Familiar with hardware inventory control and hardware repair processes.
  • Knowledgeable in the creation of SOP for test operations
  • Knowledgeable with test equipment facilities requirements.
  • Experience with test equipment purchases and contract support negotiations.
  • Knowledge in ESD controls, GRR, 5S, TPM, OEE, 8D, ISO-9K, MS-Office tools.
  • Understand the correlation, calibration, golden unit test, preventive maintenance & production release processes.
  • Self-starter, fast learner, good communicator, able to work in matrix organization, juggle multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

108,490 - 162,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
