Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join our Finance team. The person in this role will support our North American Service groups with expert advice on credit matters. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, the Credit Manager will oversee an annual portfolio of $500 million, providing strategic guidance to cross-functional teams on credit policies, procedures, and best practices. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to help them manage customer collections, navigate legal guidelines, and ensure compliance with company policies. Location: Plymouth, MN, Hybrid What you will do:
- Oversees the work of a team that evaluates the creditworthiness of current or potential customers before extending credit.
- Lead payment reviews and negotiations to minimize company risk and improve company cash flow.
- Helps to determine the organization's tolerance for credit risk and establishes policies governing the extension of credit.
- Assists those teams responsible for collecting past due balances from delinquent customers; develops and administers strategies and standards governing collection calls/letters, ensuring compliance with legal collection process.
- Liaison with senior management on matters of trends in delinquencies.
- May personally handle particularly complex accounts. Participates in negotiations and authorizes settlements.
- Manages 3rd party agencies including vendor selection, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and/or systems used in the credit and collections functions.
- Lead quarterly training for new employees.
- Establish trusting relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the U.S.
- Update company credit policies as needed.
- Ensures timely reporting on key performance indicators.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 10+ years of progressive credit experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of progressive credit experience
- Direct experience overseeing processes and workflows and/ or service credit
- 8+ years of leadership experience including a blend of direct and indirect leadership roles
- Proven success leading large cross-functional projects
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of progressive credit experience
- 5+ years of experience leading people in a management role
- Direct experience overseeing a seven figure portfolio
- Experience in construction or building material manufacturing industry credit risk experience

The typical annual base salary for the position(s) range from $80,400 - $115,000 + annual variable bonus in Plymouth, MN. The range displayed represents the pay range(s) for all positions in the job grade(s) for which the position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
