Summary of Job

An Electrical Service manager oversees and manages electrical projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. They supervise electricians, electrical service technicians, plan projects, and ensure proper electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Additionally, they may train staff, monitor budgets, and maintain documentation related to electrical work.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervising and coordinating the activities of electricians and other electrical workers, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for oversight of all Evertec production lines which run 24 hrs. - 7 days a week.
  • Safety: Ensuring all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations, conduct safety inspections, and implement safety procedures.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Project Management: Participating in project planning and budgeting, estimating costs, and managing resources.
  • Training and Development: Training and mentoring junior electrical staff on safety practices and new technologies.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project documentation.
  • Panel Design for control applications, Design and build control panels for automation and assembly line applications related to multi axis servo controls across the Pregis platform.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to electrical codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Troubleshooting and resolving complex multi aixs servo control assembly lines down to the programmatic and PLC level.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory of electrical supplies and ordering as needed.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth project execution and operational goals.
  • Comprehend customer requirements (internal and external) and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.


Competency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)



  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • English literacy; bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
  • Possess a valid driver license
  • Detailed knowledge of Bosch Rexroth PLC/Motion control
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with high speed paper converting


Environment



  • Some weekend/night work required as needed.
  • Working with computers and computer literacy i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Working in an office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.


Physical Characteristics



  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. at a time
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Sitting in and/or driving a vehicle for a long period of time.


Position Type



  • Full-time.
  • Salaried Exempt.
  • This is a 10% traveling position.


Education and Experience



  • Associates degree or equivalent job experience
  • 10+ job related work experience in Electrical or Mechanical and Field Service.
