The Program Manager - Internal Logistics Engineering (ILE) will perform up front program loading studies and investment cost roll ups for new programs at the assembly plant. Issue scope of work, hold pre bid meetings and aid in selection of PM tier one management source for racks and material flow. A qualified candidate will write projects and fill out Ipass (resourcing) documents and source packages for all packaging on a program. The Program Manager - Internal Logistics Engineering will track loop costs for the program and develop and track CWI's for program funding. Attend all relevant Program Management Team meetings, complexity meetings, open issue meetings at plant during launch and open issue meetings with Tier one Program Management resources. This position will develop and track program management timeline and deliverables (racks, containers, F&E equipment and material flow). This successful candidate for this role will attend and present ILE & MLM (material logistics management) deliverables status at Senior Management reviews. This position will ensure all ILE deliverables are made on time every time during the course of the launch of a new program.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Packaging
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience implementing lean material flows
  • Ability to perform dock and storage analysis and external logistics set up
  • Ability to organize and communicate problem solving techniques into visual displays and presentations for all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in small teams with both management and hourly UAW workers
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiar with World Class Manufacturing/Stellantis Production Way, Lean Manufacturing and basic problem solving tools
  • Experience in working with operators and team leaders on shop floor while launching new models in assembly or powertrain or stamping plants
  • Result oriented in a team work environment
  • Superior computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and Autocad
