SVC Buyer - Raw Material

Service Center Buyer is responsible for sourcing activities supporting Raw Material - Steel commodity. Knowledge of commodity is a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Responsible for Flat Sheet Steel Product procurement for Direct and Resale locations

• Lead and conclude Steel Sourcing process (RFQ, Allocation, Sourcing Recommendation)

• Take a key role in Annual Service Center Steel Contract negotiations

• Lead the resolution and negotiations of commercial issues

• Provide full support to Steel Service Centers - covering operations in US, CA and MX;

• Execute Quarterly Price Adjustments

• Manage and support Steel Supply issues (shortages)

• Support Cross-functional teams in different activities such as TCR/Business case study etc.
• Basic Excel knowledge is a must for this position.

The selected candidate will interact with many cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or related discipline

• Negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically

• Analytical skills

• Experience in working in cross-functional teams

• Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations

• Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders

• Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management
