Supply Chain Specialist (COE - Technology)

About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist - Technology: evaluates new digital developments and evolving business requirements to recommend appropriate system alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. The Specialist recommends or proposes operational and IT/digital opportunities to create synergetic efficient SC processes leveraging technology. In addition, the Specialist provides mentoring and coaching to SC Analysts on day-to-day operations, maintenance, and utilization of Ameren SC technology and processes. The Specialists leads technology initiatives through automation, handheld devices, systems, and acts as a liaison between development groups. The Specialist fosters strong working relationships with the other SC org to ensure process adherence and proper SC system usage:

This role reports to the Ameren Headquarters in St. Louis 3 days a week.

Key responsibilities include:

The SC Specialist - Technology's primary responsibilities:
1. SC Processes & Systems: Ensure adherence to SC processes and proper SC system usage. Develop and deliver training for supported technology. Lead planned testing of changes to SC technology as requested by Digital. Provide strong analytical and process support to internal and external users. Support execution of SC initiatives including project tracking, analysis, design, and implementation of technology changes. Coordinate and drive activities related to technology changes, process and procedure, and issue resolution. Provides innovative ideas and insights to redesign business process that will optimize business results. Support Supply Chain as the main resource to suppliers, vendors, and internal Ameren stakeholders on technology issues.

2. Technical: Lead Supply Chains 5 year Technology Roadmap. Lead stakeholders and projects with a variety of hardware and software components to create complex processes that speed up production or improve efficiency utilizing automation, electronic data interchange, artificial intelligence, robotics, or new future technology. Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes. Monitor performance of technology implemented and return on investment. Understanding recent developments in technology field to ensure competitive advantage to ensure customer affordability for Ameren customers. Be the Subject Matter Expert for technology in Supply Chain.

3. Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships between the COE and Digital / SC groups. Present performance reports to SC leadership and members of their organizations, as needed. Ensure questions regarding SC technology are answered and identify training opportunities to enhance SC understanding of technology, as needed.

4. Continuous Improvement: Support the framework, metrics, and goals for continuous improvement for technology and automation. To achieve process excellence and stay current with industry innovations, the Specialist employs and helps identify additional leading practices. Lead projects related to technology and automation support (e.g., Continuous Improvement). Support communication of initiatives and improvements to Business Segments as appropriate.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; preferably in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or Digital. MBA, or other related graduate degree preferred. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred. Five or more years experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, consulting, cost accounting, IT/Digital related systems/projects, or finance required. Candidates with an advanced degree will be considered with three or more years of experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong technical acumen with automation, systems, software, and hardware. Strong business acumen and communication skills with the ability to make sound judgments. Strong understanding of how to interpret customer's business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Strong ability to facilitate meetings and develop professional presentations. Proven analytic, financial and operational skills. Strong self-starter with the ability to prioritize and deliver on deadlines in a fast paced environment. Effective team player with the ability to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication, business writing and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Power Automate, etc.), Oracle Cloud, Maximo, Robotic Desktop Automation, Robotic Process Automation. Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$86,400.00 - $133,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
