Responsibilities

New opportunity for an experienced Revenue Recognition Accountant to join the Bruker Finance and Accounting Team based in Billerica, MA.

    Review revenue transactions across Bruker on a monthly basis, working with those responsible for revenue to ensure proper accounting.
  • Prepare analyses, reconciliations and other revenue related schedules on monthly basis.
  • Ensure the consistent practice and application of the Company's revenue accounting policies, with particular attention to areas requiring judgment and estimates.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate financial internal controls related to revenue recognition for Corporate.
  • Recommend and helps implement process improvements, as needed.
  • Help ensure implementation of and compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition matters. Provides data for external and internal auditors.
  • Assist in providing required information for periodic SEC filings (e.g. Form 10-Q/10-K).
  • Support initiatives to successful completion, working with others in the Corporate Revenue Group and employees from different functions or organizations to ensure proper revenue accounting.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent required. CPA and/or advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years public accounting audit work experience (or 3 years public company industry work experience) including prior revenue recognition work experience.
  • Experience with SAP and BPC, or a similar financial reporting tool (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos) is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices related to revenue. Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer, technical, and interpersonal communication skills, advanced technology skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively deliver within firm timelines.
  • Remain current with accounting standards and maintains an external industry and professional network.
  • Builds and maintains constructive working relationships across the company at all levels.
  • English language fluency required; knowledge of additional languages desirable.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to satisfactorily completion position compliance and training requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for global travel.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $64,800 and $113,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
