Credit Analyst Job

The Credit Analyst position will report to the Credit and Collections Manager. The position is located in our Radnor, PA or Wauwatosa, WI office. This position will analyze counterparty credit risk daily for compliance and reporting. Monitor the credit hold queue. Responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable. Maintains the credit files and credit and collection system. When required, works on special projects as directed by the Manager of Credit and Collections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review open accounts for collection efforts and follow up with customers as needed. (50%)
  • Monitor High Radius credit hold queue on an hourly basis for order release. (20%)
  • Assess customer financial condition and establish credit limits, maintain customer credit files. (10%)
  • Work with credit insurance company to secure coverage for customers. (10%)
  • Communicate credit issues with BUs as required and perform monthly review with BU personnel to review problem accounts. (10%)

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • A BS/BA in Finance or Account with 5+ years of related job experience is required.
  • In lieu of degree, 8+ years of relevant experience.

Competencies-Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge in using SAP, High Radius and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) preferred.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements a plus.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Solve problems creatively and independently.
  • Exercises sound judgment when determining credit limits.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.

HES Requirements:

  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.).
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near- miss, accident or injury incidents.

Physical Demands/Working Condition:

  • The position has regular contact with people in the business groups and outside customers, which requires an ability to communicate knowledge of the issues in a manner that provides comfort to these individuals. The position must present a knowledgeable and professional image to various outside contacts, as well, as it represents Arkema Inc.
  • Requires work beyond normal hours to meet accounting deadlines or other project driven deadlines. This may include some holidays to ensure compliance with reporting deadline requirements.
  • Hybrid schedule - minimum of 3 days in the office.
