As a Foodservice Commercial Leader in LACDM the main priority will be to accelerate the growth and expansion of a large and profitable Foodservice Business in 2 main Regions; CARICAM (Caribbean, Central & South America) / Mexico. Develop a high-performance Team of 10 to deliver short and long-term targets. Responsible for strengthening a Regional commercial strategy and strengthen a recently designed Distributor model to penetrate and expand our Foodservice business in different channels, i.e. HORECA, QSR, Bakery Chains, Retail Bakeries and others. Responsible for establishing and strengthening efficient relationships with Prime Distributors to leverage their capabilities to drive GMI Sales. Responsible to develop a long-term vision and design and deploy a solid Team in support of the strategy.

The established Region is currently positioned for steady, sustainable growth. To maximize results, the Regions need a leader to manage a the strategy and guide our Distributor partners to expand the Distribution of different product categories, Frozen, Dry Mixes, HD Ice Cream and others.

The role is responsible for managing a P&L focused on delivering RNS and EBIT targets and responsible to manage a Trade and Marketing Budget.

Core Responsibilities of the role:

Business Planning & Executional Excellence

  • Achieve Volume Growth (double digit growth in the next 3 years) through creation of a long-term vision and strategy for both clusters (CARICAM & Mexico).
  • Consistently evaluate your Region's strategy and execution, pivoting when necessary.
  • Problem solving
  • Act as a liaison between your field team and the Commercial Director.
  • Embrace Feedback. Coach, train, and provide direct feedback to your team members through active participation in customer meetings & events.
  • Inspire and unleash the potential of your team to achieve the organization's goals via the purposeful execution of coordinated strategic sales plans.
  • Net sales and gross margin for Food Service channel. Team account profitability.
  • Responsible for Sales Target and overall account targets
  • Budget, monitor and achieve sales budgets
  • Plan, implement and evaluate account plans with the goal of maximizing sales value and increasing new distributionpoints
  • Aggressively prospect and grow Food Service customers base while maintaining and developing strong businessrelationships with existing customers and key decision makers
  • Ensure all Accounts Receivables are collected promptly and have a healthy financial P&L of the respective account
  • Track, control and manage effective and efficient use of trade funds
  • Corporate Service event management and coordination
  • Participate and play a key role in Product/Demand and Sales/Marketing meetings
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly management reports

Education & Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive change, building long term vision plans.
  • Full Experience +15 years in food service HORECA / QSR/ DRY Mixes
  • Strong Experience having business relationship with Distributors, set performance, targets and long term vision.
  • Experience developing Distributors, unlock growth and opportunities based on distributors capabilites.
  • Full understanding of Foodservice customers and their needs considering global trends
  • Experience in CPG (or related) industry
  • Ideal to have technical Food service culinary fundations or background as corporate chef
  • Strong influence skills and ability to influence across functions and business strategies
  • High results-oriented and capable to lead multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously
  • Experience of working in diverse teams with cross cultural stakeholders
  • High experience building effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) and coach/develop others
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, complex environment
  • Fluent in English, verbally and written. ( Ideal fluent in Spanish)
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $124200.00 - $186400.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
