Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Electrical Engineer located at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This full-time position will maintain and operate electrical equipment in the Electromagnetics Laboratory (EML) at the Kennedy Space Center. A significant portion of the job will be designing, documenting, and maintaining software and IT systems that support the EML's missions.

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL

JOB STATUS: Full Time

TRAVEL: No

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • High school diploma required.
  • 20 years of experience in related software and IT systems.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • IT security management
  • RF experience
  • Full-time regular work hours between Monday-Friday.
  • Position may require overtime including weekend work depending on task.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, document, and maintain software systems related to supporting the EML's electrical equipment.
  • Use of basic electrical test instruments, digital multimeter(s), power supplies, soldering irons, and similar items.
  • Working in a team environment assist in the application of engineering principles in creating, testing, and modifying equipment or systems and or other duties as assigned.
  • Having an amateur radio, general radio, or other radio license is also a plus.
