About Loews Portofino Bay Hotel

Join the team at this Italian-inspired hotel that is a re-creation of the seaside village of Portofino, Italy.

Responsible for enhancing the overall guests experience from arrival to departure and being a point of reference for in house guests. The Lobby Ambassador will represent the hotel in a professional manner. Providing assistance with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.

  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.

  • Familiar with all hotel facilities, room types, food and beverage outlets, recreational activities and emergency procedures.

  • Answers guest questions about the hotel and local area, researching and following up promptly.

  • Becomes familiar with guest names and acknowledges them by name

  • Inspects and maintains overall cleanliness of the hotel lobby and public areas, including temperature, lighting, and music.

  • Demonstrates a professional attitude in all interactions with guests and hotel staff.

  • Address guests needs and concerns, elevating guests issues to the Manager on Duty.

  • Assist Front Desk with check-in, check-out and queue, alleviating wait times at the Front Desk.

  • Establish relationship with guests, learning their preferences to provide that WOW factor.

  • Regular Attendance in conformance with standards.

  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

  • Required to attend all training sessions and meetings.

  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests and fellow employees.

  • Notifies appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance.

  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.

  • Complies with hotel and uniform and grooming guidelines.

  • Remains current with hotel information.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.

  • Outstanding guest service skills

Preferred:

  • One year experience in Customer Service related job.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
