Department: Eastwood MEN's Residential Schedule: CONTINGENT 9:30am-6:00pm with rotating weekends & holidays Eastwood Recovery Center - Southfield, MI GENERAL SUMMARY Eastwood Behavioral Health welcomes and actively seeks to hire applicants with disabilities, including those who are in recovery from substance use disorders for at least 2 years. Provides substance abuse counseling services. Responsibilities: Provides assigned patient counseling services and case management. Systematically and continually assesses the patient's coping mechanisms and progress. Utilizes appropriate teaching methods and/or referral sources. Coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other healthcare members. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in human services required. MCBAP develop plan or credentials required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for treating addiction and co-occurring disorders and have some experience with group therapy, didactics, or individual sessions with this population. Understanding of trauma informed care preferred.
