Full-Time Indirect Loan Officer

Role

To assist members and potential members with their consumer lending needs, to analyze loan requests, and to make credit decisions based on lending policy.

Major Duties andResponsibilities

- Reviews applications to develop information concerning consumer loan needs, earnings, and financial condition.

- Analyzes current financial position of loan applicants to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money and makes decisions to approve, reject, or forward the loan requests to higher levels for decisions.

- Reviews loan documents for completeness and accuracy and processes loans as needed for funding.

- Explains loan programs to indirect lending dealers, evaluates member needs, and recommends loan options.

- Negotiates terms and conditions of loan decisions with dealers and merchants within established approval/exception guidelines, leveraging risk versus reward, to ensure credit quality and profitability.

- Keeps informed on current trends in consumer credit and indirect lending.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-Must be 18 years of age or older

-Intermediate PC knowledge with basic Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Up to one year of similar or related experience

- Familiar with operation of 10-key calculator

- Ability to work in a team environment

-Excellent communication skills while using a pleasant tone and common conversational courtesies

- Good interpersonal skills to include being courteous, diplomatic, and tactful

- Good organizational skills

- Ability to multitask when necessary

- Familiar with Federal Regulations related to processing financial transactions and loan reviewing, approving, and processing.

Expectations

- Respond to all e-mails and voicemails before end of business day.

- Meet goals as determined by management for delinquency levels, charge-off ratios, and lending related insurance products.

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

- To respond to dealer on all indirect loan applications within the time frame determined by management.
