Job Description

This role offers a range of $95,000 to $110,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

The Divisional Quality Systems Manager is a representative of management who has authority to implement and maintain the quality system within their respective divisions.The Divisional Quality System Manager reports to the Vice President of the Division. Works with Branch Quality Coordinators, VP of Quality, other Divisional Quality Systems Managers, GMs, and other INX employees. You

A. Contribute to, maintain, and support the Quality management system at INX.

B. Coordinate the use of services provided by Quality Systems.

C. "Alignment" Activities

  • Assure that all decisions made at the branch level are in consideration of the entire INX organization.
  • Constantly remind management to support our mission statement & guiding principles.
  • Attend Divisional Staff meetings.

D. Communication and Development:

  • Effectively communicate to employees the need for their involvement & participation, commitment and understanding of the improvement process. Report any inadequacies immediately to senior management.
  • Work to improve and strengthen overall communication at INX International Ink Co. Assist in facilitating communication from lower levels to senior and executive levels of management.
  • Assist in developing database and measurement systems for cost of quality and results of improvements.
  • Help management and teams to develop processes for everything we
  • do and constantly find ways to improve them. Communicate the improvements to all other branches.
  • Help managers and teams understand the need to identify root cause for every failure. Help to define true corrective action & follow up.
  • Work with branch quality coordinators to assure that teams are working with goals and projects that are attainable and that will produce value in the eyes of our external customer.

E. Training:

Attend Quality Managers training sessions.

Be trained as a trainer for quality courses such as:

c. Train or assist in training site quality coordinators and employees, emphasizing the importance of key quality concepts such as:

  • Measurement systems.
  • Work-groups or teams having immediate access to measurement systems.
  • Documented standard processes.
  • Reduction of waste
  • Identification and elimination of activities that do not add value to our products or services.
  • Customer focus, and
  • Continuously improving systems to exceed customer's requirements.
  • Train site Quality Coordinators and offer guidance when needed.
  • Assist in selecting outside quality consultants for special tasks or training as needed.

F. On-site Activities such as:

  • Conduct periodic Quality Audits of branches.
  • Visit sites as needed to trouble shoot quality problems when they occur.

G. Continuous Improvement:

  • Work to assure that quality activities and efforts in specific divisions to assure consistent growth and improvements. Lessons learned, successes, failures should be shared cross divisions.
  • Work to develop solutions that support continuous improvement at INX International Ink Co.
  • Assure the Continuous development of improved training on Quality systems and tools.
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from 4-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both.
  • Have the demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and manage projects
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have strong organization and time management skills
  • Have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, and be a strong facilitator
  • Must be available and willing to travel

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and ISO culture
  • Knowledge of the ink and print industry
  • Experience as a trainer
  • Knowledge of SAP
