Expedition Technology is seeking a passionate and skilled Machine Learning Software Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge ML solutions for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. What You'll Do Design, implement, and maintain robust, testable, and scalable software to support ML model development and deployment Develop and optimize training and inference pipelines for computer vision models Collaborate with ML researchers to transition models from experimentation to production Integrate ML models into real-world systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, code reviews, and testing Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries that accelerate ML workflows What You Bring U.S. Citizenship Anactive TS/SCI security clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong foundation in Python Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, with hands-on experience in training and fine-tuning models, especially in computer vision Experience building ML pipelines for training and inference using tools like PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, or TensorFlow Familiarity with data preprocessing, augmentation, and evaluation metrics for vision tasks Ability to write clean, modular, and well-tested code using modern software engineering practices Experience with containerization (Docker) and deploying ML models in production environments Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus, but not the primary focus Bonus Points For Experience with model optimization techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning) Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow, Weights & Biases, or Airflow (for orchestration) Contributions to open-source ML projects or published research in computer vision Experience with C++ or other compiled languages for performance-critical components Why Join Us?
