Part Time international project manager with knowledge of Ocean and Air import and Export shipping. Because the International tradeshow and exhibition services industry operates in a highly dynamic and changing environment, the International Logistics Project Manager must possess the ability and vision to provide strong support to the international transportation program, and support to the regional logistics teams to keep GES ahead of the curve. Additionally, it is critical that the International Logistics Project Manager possesses a strong knowledge of all elements of International and Domestic transportation to ensure the needs of clients, employees, and shareholders are met on a daily basis. GES has been able to achieve its position as a market leader by accomplishing its business objectives while building strong relationships with clients and employees. The position of International Logistics Project Manager is a priority to successfully implement the International logistics business plan. A fundamental premise of the business plan is to provide consistency across all cities and a uniform look to all clients. Part of the uniformity will be driven through the identification and dissemination of best practice logistics procedures. Additionally, the organizational model assigns clear accountability for results and helps foster a performance management based, results-oriented culture. Responsiblities: The International Logistics Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Logistics-International. The position will be responsible in providing direction, guidance and support to the International logistics team and driving excellence. They will be responsible for supporting the International logistics business, control of costs associated with international logistics and the overall International logistics margins. The International Logistics Project Manager will reside at the GES local office. The position along with the entire logistics team will be responsible for driving process improvements, efficiently allocating logistics resources, and developing operations personnel through coaching and training. The International Logistics Project Manager along with the International Director of Logistics will be accountable for ensuring logistics revenues, logistics cost controls and overall logistics margins are achieved as outlined in overall business plan for logistics. Specific responsibilities for the International Logistics Project Manager include, but are not limited to, the following. * Work with the International Director of Logistics to develop the logistics team and a functional International logistics process, which will be in line with national, regional and city objectives, to drive logistics excellence across all GES departments. The logistics process must include: * Consistent Margin within the guidelines outlined by the International Director of Logistics. * Carrier utilization within the guidelines established by the International Director of Logistics. * Consistent sales an marketing efforts (pre show, show site and post show) * Compliance with all International and National Logistics guidelines * Focal point for International logistics activity within the company. * Contact with logistics personnel in cities as needed. * Continual training and development of logistics personnel * Provide support for select shows to help mitigate risks * Support / Coordinate sales and marketing effort for specific international logistics opportunities * Own the identification, development, and implementation of International logistics best practices within the company. Work with the regional team to ensure consistent implementation of best practices. * Drive overall International Logistics support. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred * Proven track record in international sales support role * 3-5 years experience in domestic transportation * 5+ years experience in international tradeshow transportation and customs procedures, both import and export. * Strong leadership capacity * Demonstrated tactical planning skills * Successful experience managing in highly complex environments with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally * Possess strong customer focus/client service orientation and ability to interact with clients * Strong collaboration skills Work Environment: Our team members are our family, so we help our team members care for their families.
