Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday Location: Primarily remote. Candidate must be able to travel up to 10% of the time to Massachusetts for required meetings, etc. Job Profile Summary This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of information technology (IT) solutions in order to meet the organization's needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Client Applications Support duties: Designs, develops, implements, and updates internal IT applications in accordance with specifications and business needs., designs, codes, tests, and debugs computer programs, and prepares systems documentation and training. A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. A role that manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically include: policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less), problems faced are difficult to moderately complex, and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures. Job Overview This position is responsible for managing a team of analysts who implement, optimize, and support applications, to enable the work of a particular clinical and/or operational area. Manages projects, drives optimization efforts, and ensures excellent support of end user issues and requests. Serves as the primary Information Technology (IT) partner to leaders of assigned departments. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, finance, clinical field, or related field. 2. Ten (10) years of relevant experience in Information Technology that includes project management, supervisory, or team lead experience. OR 1. Master's degree in information technology, finance, clinical field, or related field. 2. Eight (8) years of relevant experience in Information Technology that includes project management, supervisory, or team lead experience. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Manage a team of analysts who implement, optimize, and support applications in assigned areas. 2. In collaboration with the Project Management Office and Project Managers, provide management oversight for projects and enhancements within this application team. 3. Ensure projects are effectively planned, with accurate scope definition, and are executed effectively from both budget and timing perspectives. 4. Develop and execute presentations on project options and communicate recommendations. 5. Implement new content and approved enhancement requests following a standard process, including collaboration with training, and broad communication to existing users and other departments. 6. Ensure that vendor updates are applied promptly and in accordance with change control processes. 7. Maintain detailed primary and secondary responsibility matrix and ensure coverage. 8. Ensure that the application team provides excellent support and maintenance for assigned applications, and that the users are highly satisfied. 9. Monitor team's performance to maximize attainment against service levels metrics. 10. Provide second-level after-hours support to drive the resolution of system problems escalated by the Help Desk and/or the responsible analysts. 11. Provide weekly status reporting to leadership, summarizing key status items and identifying matters for management attention. 12. Participate in the applications leadership team's work to develop department goals, policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs, and implement these as they pertain to assigned applications. 13. Provide management guidance and support to all team members. 14. Develop performance goals and objectives that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time bound. 15. Provide ongoing coaching on employee achievements and development areas. 16. Provide written feedback in a formal review on an annual basis. 17. Conduct career development discussions with employees, to ensure long-range career planning and retention of high performers. 18. Drive the recruitment process when adding/replacing team members, to successfully add quality talent to the team. Execute necessary requisition and approval processes, actively collaborate with Talent Acquisition on candidate selection and interviewing and execute smooth onboarding and orientation processes. Physical Requirements: 1. Normal office environment. 2. Frequent sitting, occasional standing & walking, and minor lifting. 3. Mental requirements will be intense at times with involvement in many concurrent multi-faceted projects. 4. Include absolute accuracy, meeting deadlines, multiple priorities, and the management of fast-paced change. 5. Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate a computer keyboard. 6. Requires ability to see and interpret computer screens and reports. Skills & Abilities: 1.
