3rd SHIFT POSITION

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Responsible for supervision and duty assignments for Materials team leaders and shipping team members;
  • Authorized to perform all essential job functions of Materials Team Leader and Shipping Team Members and the Shipping Supervisor/Customer Service position as needed;
  • Responsible for the staging of all loads and insuring that requirements have been met;
  • Authorized to deal with customer in the event that the others in the department are not available;
  • Responsible for the receipt of all incoming product and the paperwork associated;
  • Responsible for communicating with production supervisors regarding part shortages;
  • Responsible for vacation scheduling, disciplinary action, and counseling of Materials team leaders and team members;
  • Responsible for communicating and coordination of OT for weekend work and daily coverage;
  • Making bar code labels for shipment and production;
  • Responsible for communicating maintenance concerns regarding tow-motors and other equipment to maintenance. Assist in maintenance of physical inventory;
  • Responsible for reconciling cum discrepancies;
  • Assist in maintaining customer delivery ratings;
  • Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality system;
  • Authorized to perform warehouse audits as required to detect deterioration of product in stock;
  • Audits to be completed at minimum every 30 days;
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in the shipping and receiving area as well as material processes;
  • Responsible for maintaining contact information internally and updating the contact information on the customer's system;
  • Authorized and responsible for using interactive inventory management systems, example DDL, AS400, Barcode Software;
  • Responsible for corrective action regarding delivery issues pertaining to the delivery rating; and,
  • Performs other essential functions as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Two year Associates' Degree in Business related field and / or a Four year degree preferred; and,
  • Three to five years' supervisory experience in automotive shipping or equivalent experience.
