The Client Value Enablement (CVE) team strives for quality, innovation, and scalability in its work product. This creative group addresses customer challenges by designing and delivering training content, preparing training guides and reference materials, codifying and communicating industry best practices through playbooks and toolkits, writing client case studies, and facilitating large-scale webinar events and meaningful networking opportunities.

The Client Value Enablement team works collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Customer Success, Product Management, Marketing, and other areas of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Training and Engagement Manager plays a key role on the CVE team, working to:



  • Proactively drive client engagement with Optum services, document and share client success, and promote optimal use of Optum solutions
  • Develop and implement strategy for client engagement, training, and communication initiatives to increase technology utilization across customer base
  • Write and produce original content including case studies (client success stories), webinars, training materials, and best practice toolkits
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Optum analytic technology and work at scale to increase adoption of technology
  • Develop and conduct live and web-based training, ranging from general product overviews to more detailed and advanced use cases within our analytic solutions
  • Engage and influence internal stakeholders in key areas of product development and delivery, strategic marketing, sales, and implementation to ensure effective and streamlined internal operations
  • Manage a variety of projects that include stakeholders from multiple business laterals
  • Support the Customer Success team to identify and serve client needs
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry and best practice research, identifying and integrating key resources (data, tactics, and tools) into deliverables


Event planning, development, execution



  • Contribute to client events, such as live webinars, regional summits, etc. This responsibility encompasses working with Customer Success on recruitment, coordinating with Marketing, and supporting client content development / presentations
  • Prepare quarterly webinar programming and calendar of events (i.e., planning the calendar, writing / designing the content, and facilitating logistics day-of)
  • Drive recruitment of webinars via regular team and client communication prior to events


Collateral Development & Knowledge Management



  • Support Customer Success in ongoing production of case studies (client success stories) and help boost the case study "pipeline"
  • Create written, graphical, and multimedia training material and other content to drive utilization and client engagement
  • Scale the delivery of custom reports and resources to drive optimal utilization across the client base
  • Edit materials for grammar, formatting, etc. as part of peer review process
  • Own preparation and distribution of monthly client newsletters
  • Maintain and manage updates to internal document repositories


Project management and collaboration



  • Set and adhere to established deadlines for own work product, while simultaneously project managing other stakeholders to ensure forward progress on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Build consensus among peers and leaders on business needs and strive for collaboration on complex projects
  • Cultivate productive working relationships across internal departments, embodying a strong service ethic in interactions with colleagues

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Possess 2+ years in at least two of the following:


    • 2+ years of experience writing reports, articles, or blogs in a professional setting
    • 2+ years of experience building research, marketing, or sales presentations
    • 2+ years of experience using analytics in the healthcare environment
    • 2+ years of experience developing and/or delivering training



  • 2+ years of experience to share insights in written and verbal communication and create professional content
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint (create and design slides), Word (creating and editing documents) and Excel (utilize data sets to turn into usable insight, create pivot tables, advanced Excel summary functions within spreadsheets)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically (when travel resumes, varies by product)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in health, technology, or (ideally) communication-related field
  • Knowledge or experience with healthcare issues (clinical inpatient, operational)
  • Experience with service delivery or account management in Healthcare Technology industry
  • Demonstrated analytical reasoning and solution-focused problem-solving skills
  • Experience with or interest in public speaking
  • Training in instructional design and training development
  • Experience delivering classroom-based and web-based training


Soft Skills:



  • Experience with solution-focused problem solving and thinking through problems creatively
  • Comfort with a fast-paced work environment and working autonomously
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a desire to innovate

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
