Job Title: IT Operations Project Scheduler

Job Summary: LCG is seeking an experienced IT Operations Projects Scheduler to support the modernization project. This role will be critical in planning, tracking, and coordinating project timelines, resource allocations, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful modernization of legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage integrated master project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.

Track timelines, milestones, task dependencies, and critical paths for multiple concurrent project workstreams (system development, testing, data migration, reporting, etc.).

Coordinate with project managers, technical leads, and client stakeholders to update schedules and resolve potential scheduling conflicts or risks.

Maintain a detailed understanding of project scope, resource availability, and deliverables to support accurate forecasting and workload balancing.

Communicate schedule status, progress updates, and risk mitigations in regular status meetings and written reports.

Ensure project schedules align with client's timelines, including key milestones related to the project.

Assist in change management by evaluating schedule impacts related to scope or resource modifications.

Collaborate with QA, development, data migration, and integration teams to ensure alignment across technical efforts.

Support client's project governance by providing schedule data for decision-making, project reviews, and audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls within large-scale IT or systems modernization projects.

PMP, PMI-SP, or similar certification preferred.

Experience working on projects involving modernization of .NET-based applications and legacy database systems (e.g., DB2 to SQL migration).

Familiarity with DOE systems, policies, or Chapter 683 processes.

Working knowledge of Gantt charts, earned value management, and schedule risk analysis.

Demonstrated experience managing integrated schedules across multi-phase technology projects (development, integration, testing, deployment).

Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Waterfall methodologies.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a public sector or education setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $76,400 to $103,200 per year benchmarked in the New York area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
