Civil Design Lead

We are seeking a Design Lead to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on managing the development of high-quality construction drawings, supporting various civil engineering design projects, and mentoring junior engineers and CAD technicians. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, and a passion for team development.

• Lead Production: Manage and oversee the production of construction drawings for a variety of civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans.
• Design Standards: Identify and apply relevant civil engineering design standards and criteria for project managers and engineers to confirm and validate.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to drafting standards and compliance with company and client requirements.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure drawing packages are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Civil 3D Utilization: Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D to develop and review complex civil design models, surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians in Civil 3D workflows, CAD standards, and design best practices.
• Template Development: Develop and maintain internal CAD and Civil 3D templates, tools, and libraries to enhance team efficiency and consistency.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control reviews of drawings and models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project and regulatory standards.
• BIM/CAD Strategies: Assist in the development and implementation of BIM/CAD strategies and technologies within the civil team.
• Industry Awareness: Stay current with civil engineering design standards, industry trends, software updates, and emerging technologies relevant to civil design and drafting.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred; extensive hands-on experience in CAD design or civil engineering may substitute for a degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering design, with a strong focus on Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Skills:
