SAB Intern - Student Worker

Student Activities Board (SAB) interns will serve all students during the 2025-26 school year by planning events and programs that will assist in a creating and sustaining meaningful community at Lipscomb University.
Joining the SAB team, as an intern, will require you to pour your available time, energy, and efforts into the successful production of events, programs and activities. This team is focused on giving all students involvement opportunities on and off campus. May be federal work study eligible.

Expectations:

Our expectations are that you agree to:



  • leadership amongst peers through positive decision making
  • optimism in challenging or stressful environments
  • hard work ethic within a team and individually
  • attendance of training, team meetings, and SAB Events
  • Everyone is allowed 2 unexcused absence from a meeting and/or event
  • Work a minimum of 2 office hours per week.


The Responsibilities:



  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Student Engagement
  • Attendance and participation in weekly planning and development meetings.
  • Attend a Student Engagement Leader retreat, August Work Week, and all SAB events.
  • Recruit student volunteers to work with SAB.
  • Be prepared to help perform interviews for volunteers and other office necessities when asked to do so.
  • Plan and oversee the success of all SAB programs, events, and activities.
  • As much as we would like to tell you up front what exactly your responsibilities will look like through the duration of this position, we really want you to be ready for only one, all-encompassing role: to be ready and excited for anything we ask of you.
