Instructional Technology Specialists address client needs with the development of appropriate strategies for implementing learning technology across a broad range of academic programs and initiatives. They provide training, documentation, testing, and technical support. Instructional Technology Specialists receive priorities from Senior Instructional Technology Specialists.
A&S Learning Design and Technology (LDT) at the University of Virginia (UVA) invites applications for the role of Instructional Technology Specialist. LDT is a unit of the College & Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (A&S). We are a collaborative team supporting faculty through instructional design, specialized learning spaces, instructional technology integration, and incubation of innovative projects. This position will collaborate regularly with colleagues in LDT, Arts & Sciences, and learning technology partners across UVA. This role reports to the LDT Assistant Director. Requirements:

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA. A hybrid work schedule may be available, contingent on needs of the department and incumbent's performance. The anticipated start date is Summer 2025. Anticipated Hiring Range: $65,000 - $71,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is an Exempt level, benefited position. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. This job requires frequent movement between sites, offices, and classrooms; transporting supplies to and from job sites; and moving equipment up to 40 pounds.
