General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is looking for a Supervisor Imaging to join ourTeam!

The Supervisor Imaging may supervise multiple imaging modalities. Acts as the point person for the department and serves as liaison between the staff, administration, and the radiologists.

Primary Duties:

  • Develops department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensures compliance with business unit policies and procedures and governmental and accreditation regulations. Develops and recommends department operating budget and manages resources according to approved budget.

  • Selects, trains, orients, and assigns department staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, and conducts performance management planning. Initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. Maintains ongoing communication with subordinates to review programs, provide feedback, discuss new developments, and exchange information.

  • Ensures the delivery of quality services in area of operations. Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing, and administrative staff. Manages procurement activities including vendor selection, purchasing, receiving, storage, and utilization of equipment, materials, and supplies. Establishes and maintains contractual services.

  • Participates in the development and performance of clinical trials and designs. Reviews, updates, and writes technical protocols for studies performed in areas of responsibility. Introduces and demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and research findings to the staff. Functions as liaison between physicians and staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.

  • 2 years supervisory experience in appropriate discipline; 4 years technical experience.

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification, or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography).

This position has a hiring range of $41.87 - $68.75
