Systems Engineer I Intern

The Systems Engineer I Intern works as a member of the project team, generally observes work toward defined project objectives under the direction of a senior engineer. Project tasks objectives are defined by senior employee.

  • Provide systems analysis support to software development teams
  • Conduct research and analysis to assist with determining the program impacts of implementing new technology in the system
  • Support Program engineering in building systems architectures and sustain current systems architectures
  • Participate in IPTs and coordinate installation of new software versions in the production environment
  • Ensure requirements are included in all applicable documentation and communicate with production environment organizations
  • Manage data integrity and reliability within the application and application interfaces
  • Conduct systems analysis of functional needs statements and requirements, document analysis in standard program documentation
  • Support T&E in analysis of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Government off the Shelf (GOTS) products to meet capability need
  • Support development of acquisition documentation, such as Technology Development Strategy, Acquisition Strategy (TDS/AS), and PWS
  • Develop and maintain 'how to' documentation enabling Tier 0, user-level actions and problem resolution
  • Supports information assurance actions to complete software static code analysis and maintain documentation and artifacts for system authorization
  • Review system testing documentation and observe system testing
  • Review system configuration management items and observe configuration management activities

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance required
  • Completion of three years of undergraduate study in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
