Warehouse Laborer

Looking for a hands-on role with steady hours and long-term potential? Staffmark is hiring Warehouse Laborers to join a production team in a fish meal warehouse in Abbeville, LA. If you're mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a dynamic environment-this could be the opportunity for you!

Pay: $17.00/hour

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform various tasks throughout the warehouse in an industrial setting
• General cleaning and sanitation of the facility
• Assist with warehouse maintenance: replacing drag paddles, bolts, motors, sprockets, hammer mill screens, and more
• Operate forklifts and wheeled front loaders
• Load hopper-bottom tractor trailers
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE (steel toe boots, hard hat)
• Report any hazards, injuries, or incidents to management immediately
• Complete all tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and front loaders is a plus
• Previous warehouse or industrial experience preferred
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed
