What you will do as a Perioperative Scheduling Coordinator:

  • Prepares and mails all applicable programs and testing information to patients
  • Works with physicians, OR, patients and other staff to ensure all aspects of the patients care are coordinated
  • Assists financial securing, physicians and patients as needed to provide insurance coverage
  • Communicates process and schedules as needed to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Responds effectively to changes in schedules. Resolves scheduling conflicts, patient anxiety and answers non-clinical questions
  • Schedule surgeries for patients/providers to meet patient needs with complex health issues
  • Works across specialty areas with peri-op team members to share resources and schedule multi-surgeon cases

What you will need:

  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to determine direction in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to deal with high stress environments
  • Excellent coordination and scheduling skills
  • Dynamic scheduling experience
  • Effective communication, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Patient scheduling and healthcare experience preferred

Hours: 1.0 FTE

Compensation:

18.68 - 28.04 USD Hourly
