Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor oversees all aspects of day-to-day production and distribution personnel activities including leading team meetings and facilitating continuous improvement. Emphasis on safety, quality, and reduction of cost and waste will be a high priority. Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the distribution of a quality product and meeting production/customer specifications while achieving site productivity objectives.

* Ensure safety documents for direct reports are up-to-date and easy to understand.

* Report, evaluate, and when necessary investigate all work-related accidents by identifying the factors contributing to the accident and implement corrective action.

* Responsible for the training, motivation, discipline, and measuring of employees' performance as necessary to complete written evaluations of full-time, direct reports under the guidance of the DC Manager.

* Supervise overall operations by planning, prioritizing, organizing, and delegating work effectively.

* Ensure general operating procedures and guidelines are followed in production by all personnel.

* Participate as required in continuous improvement teams and provide leadership and support to teams in their efforts to meet and exceed targeted capital costs.

* Employ the principles of lean manufacturing for elimination of waste and optimization of labor efficiencies.

* Assist in the development, coordination, and installation of capital projects.

Desirable Education & Experience

* "Preferred" candidates will possess a BS in Business, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.

* "Internal" candidates may qualify if candidates possess a High School Diploma/GED required with a minimum of 5+ years of supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

* Knowledge of the principles of Constraint Management and 5S.

* Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (SOX, Labor, GAAP)

* Strong decision-making skills and proven ability to prioritize department needs.

* Extensive knowledge of Warehouse and Inventory Management. CAD experience is a plus.

* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)

* Experience with Workforce "Time Keeping and Attendance" is a plus.

* Intermediate knowledge of SAP preferred.

* Knowledge of the Manhattan WMS preferred.

* Experience in creating, tracking, and finalizing CAPEX projects and appropriations.

* Experience in creating, tracking, and finalizing CI projects and appropriations.

* Experience in ideation, implementation, and maintaining COPQ workbooks in addition to amendments in current quality processes to improve COPQ metrics.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $83,000 to $94,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
