Under the administrative direction of the Cardiology Manager, the Patient Services Coordinator Level III, is responsible to perform PSCII job responsibilities at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision. The PSCIII is responsible to work with the peers daily in the Diagnostic Cardiology Department and the Pacemaker Clinic Department.
The PSCIII is responsible to direct the daily operations of the PSCII's. Assist with staff scheduling, reviews technical and or workflow problems with the Manager of Cardiology. Review problems with equipment, purchases or personnel policies with the Manager of Cardiology.
The Patient Services Coordinator Level III (PSCII) ensures compliance with patient care quality standards. Assists with performance improvement activities within the department. Maintains efficient department operations while following compliance with all JCAHO, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.

  • Computer, mouse and keyboard skills.
  • Knowledge of email, Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and Microsoft powerpoint. Word processing skills; spreed sheet skills, accurate data entry and typing.
  • Familiarity with HMO, managed Care and various coverage options:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; familiarity with medical terminology; effective interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with customers and others; organizational skills to work in an efficient, orderly fashion; ability to work effectively under pressure of time, volume with numerous interruptions; effective interpersonal skills to build rapport with others.
  • Ability to function effectively in an emergency situation.
  • Ability to Prioritize work.
  • Previous office work experience required; preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Candidate must have experience with the following: creating spreadsheets and databases; knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding
  • Experience with computerized patient information systems preferred
  • HS Diploma required
