The Cardiometabolic Account Executive is responsible for growing current laboratory testing business and targeting and securing profitable new business by building relationships, opening new business, and driving new sales growth in diagnostics (Cardio IQ, Advanced Lipid Testing, Metabolic Testing, Inflammation Testing, etc.). A technical background and comfort level selling in a medical background will help support this role in new business.

This is a field-based sales role supporting the Baltimore, MD sales region and surrounding cardio markets in Delaware, Washington, DC and Northern, VA.


  • Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and consistent follow-up with physicians and specialists
  • Target and secure new business
  • Provide overall support and expertise to new & existingaccounts
  • Increase discretionary business through insuranceaccess
  • Partner with and notify Physician Account Manager on complex issues or when face-to-face or extensive service isrequired
  • Provide immediate support for less complexissues
  • Leverage all tools and resources (including data, sales portal, target lists; Marketing Department,Laboratory resources, and regional or national resources as needed)
  • Maintain a breadth of knowledge of all connectivity products
  • Prepare and present proposals andbids
  • Ensure compliance with company polices and governmentregulations
  • Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly andpromptly

Required WorkExperience:

Five years of experience in medical or related healthcare sales.

Documented success with account ownership and growing new business.

New business generation and Hunter mentality a must!

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of Healthcare Industry and general economics of business.
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships, strong planning and organizational skills
  • Laboratory/Diagnostics sales experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • CRM proficiency ideal in SalesForce/SFDC
  • Solid PC skills including Microsoft Software.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required
