Laboratory Assistant II - Neurology

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and supervision of DDL Director of Operation, the Laboratory Assistant II will assist with daily lab operations. Primary functions are to assist with colonies maintenance, cell culture, and placing orders for laboratory experiments and equipment. In addition, the Laboratory Assistant II will assist with in vivo testing and data collection such as drug dosing, animal husbandry, genotyping, behavioral testing in animal models of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. You will assist with preparation of brain tissue and special projects and duties as assigned while recording and maintaining data using appropriate software.

Salary Range: $22.02 - $25.90/Hourly

• Oral and written communication to provide information, instructions, training, and advice.
• Ability to maintain clear and concise lab notes and data records
• Ability to work according to schedule and to coordinate work with other lab members
• Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to learn laboratory techniques.
