The Systems Engineering Manager will have deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra), Citrix solutions, and enterprise infrastructure, combined with strong leadership capabilities. The role will drive technology innovation and align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives while developing team members and maintaining efficient operations. This leadership position will play a critical role in shaping our technology strategy while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our Microsoft & Citrix environment.



Responsibilities

    Lead and develop a team of systems engineers while providing technical direction, career growth opportunities, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the architecture and implementation of VMware / Citrix / Microsoft technologies and supporting infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions that optimize operations and enhance user experience.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and best practices across all supported platforms.
  • Ensure proper system integration, security implementation, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and capacity planning while meeting project milestones and deliverables.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and architectural decisions.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and implement innovations that improve key metrics, reduce bottlenecks, and provide enhanced user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps, technical standards, and DR plans.


Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor's Degree ; Major: Computer Science, Information Technology
  • Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role managing engineers.
  • Experience leading complex infrastructure projects and system migrations.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, compliance requirements and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
  • Project management experience with complex technical objectives.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences
