JOB/BID ANNOUNCEMENT Senior Information Analyst Civilian Office of Police Accountability Number of Positions: 1 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) This position is open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Select your correct bargaining unit FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN A REJECTED BID APPLICATION This position with the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) and has a core responsibility that includes creating, running and enhancing SQL queries to extract data from COPA's data warehouse in response to internal and external data requests. Related responsibilities include collaborating with technical and non-technical staff to understand the agency's work flows, investigative processes, and related data needs as well as documenting and sharing knowledge about the data warehouse. The job will also require frequent development and updating of summary data reports and data visualizations (e.g. annual reports and dashboards) used to monitor and assess organizational performance and communicate with the public. Chicago Ave, 4th floor, Chicago, IL 60622 Days: Monday - Friday Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm Salary: $73,140 (non-negotiable) THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree, plus one year of experience in data analysis/management OR one year of experience performing fact finding research, analysis and reporting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Selection Requirement: This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include an SQL skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected. Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
