Job Description

Coordinates day-to-day activities of assigned mental health program. Functions as a team leader to interdisciplinary healthcare team. Oversees quality of care, patient experience, clinical and financial performance. Ensures program compliance with regulatory requirements and maintains quality standards.

Job Responsibility




  • Coordinates day-to-day activities of assigned mental health program.
  • Participates in program planning and evaluation as well as implements and monitors program policies, procedures, and treatment modalities to facilitate optimal effectiveness.
  • Coordinates program structure including scheduling of admission of new patients, therapy sessions, activities, and vocational services to chemically dependent clients.
  • Develops supporting services for families of client population.
  • Monitors expenditures to ensure operations are within budgetary limits, oversees the ordering of program supplies from purchasing and ensures development of Nursing care standards, and effective plan for delivery of nursing care within the methadone clinic.
  • Ensures compliance with hospitals and regulatory agencies pertaining to patient care and medical records.
  • Conducts formal training seminars on various topics within the field of chemical dependency under the auspices of the funding sources.
  • Ensures agency staff is exposed to ongoing training in specialty areas.
  • Participates in psychometrics data collection related to clinical services.
  • Monitors and evaluates referral, admission and discharge activities as well as reports on performance, justification and/or corrective action as well as coordinates training for program staff to foster optimal therapeutic interaction with patients.
  • Ensures program compliance with government and agency regulations, maintains program documentation in accordance with internal and external guidelines and maintains databases and generates necessary reports.

Job Qualification




  • Bachelors degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Current License to practice as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State, or Current License to practice as a Clinical Social Worker in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
  • OR Doctor of Psychology required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Current License to practice as a Psychologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
