Job Summary: The Manager, National Tax Learning will apply tax knowledge and experience to increase the effectiveness and maximize the efficiencies of firm resources dedicated to national tax learning. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with National Tax Learning (NTL) and Tax leadership to support continuous learning by assisting with the design, development, and implementation of tax curriculum through various delivery methods. Job Duties:
- Conducts needs assessments, evaluates, and identifies gaps in curriculum, and supports design efforts for continuous learning
- Leads, supports, and fosters the development of a continuous learning culture for all tax professionals
- Manages client relationships and works with tax leadership to support learning needs
- Assists with organizing national virtual trainings
- Liaises with tax practice representatives to understand learning needs, disseminate NTL communications, design and develop tax training content, and discuss feedback on tax learning resources
- Collaborates with Learning & Development (L&D), as well as National Assurance, Advisory, National Tax Office (NTO), Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I), Tax Practice Leaders and other firm leadership to plan and execute national and other group live training programs
- Works with internal team members and external vendors to evaluate and curate content for tax professionals to enhance tax knowledge and core tax tools learning opportunities (e.g., Becker CPE, CPE Link, and Checkpoint)
- Integrates professional development content within tax learning curriculum such as business development, financial and leadership skills
- Applies tax technical and tools knowledge to assist with development of content, as needed
- Ensures tax curriculum supports Firm Tax policies and professional development
- Exercises professional judgment in non-routine situations
- Provides guidance regarding the Firm's tax learning methodology, keeping current regarding professional standards set by regulators and professional organizations
- Applies, with honesty and integrity, relevant regulations, and standards, as well as the BDO Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
- Assists with maintaining Tax Learning website within the Tax portal
- Other duties, as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Education:
- Bachelor's degree, required; with a focus in Accounting, Business, or Finance, preferred
Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a tax professional, required
License/Certifications:
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required
- Basic proficiency with tax software, specifically GoSystem Tax RS, SurePrep and DataFlow, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $110,000 - $135,000 Maryland Range: $110,000 - $135,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $110,000 - $135,000
